About the Committee

Mission

The Expert Witnesses Committee focuses on providing continuing education to litigators regarding expert witnesses, including retaining experts, preparing expert reports, preparing expert testimony, and examining expert witnesses in depositions and at trial; exploring best practices designed to determine the qualifications, scope, and proper parameters for expert witness testimony; and promoting networking opportunities for litigators and expert witnesses in commonly encountered substantive areas, such as accounting, engineering, and science.

Message from the Chairs

Welcome to the Expert Witness Committee’s website. We hope you find our notes and content to be worth the visit! In that regard, please check out our links to our committee’s newsletters, as well as the content from our CLE events.

We are always in need of informative, topical material for both our newsletter and our committee website. This is a great way for you to get involved with our committee, and provides our members with a tremendous opportunity to get their name and expertise out there. Please contact our editors to submit content for the newsletter and website: Julie CohenJoe Meadows; and Marylee Robinson.

Lastly, new members are always welcome! If you have friends or colleagues who might be interested in the Expert Witness Committee, please encourage them to join and get involved. It’s easy to join!

Best regards,
