Matthew Duncan, an antitrust litigator and partner at Fine, Kaplan and Black in Philadelphia, devotes his pro bono practice to representing abused and neglected children in Philadelphia family court proceedings. “This work is nothing like my commercial practice, but it’s interesting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding,” according to Mr. Duncan. “The kids in the family court system are in desperate need of caring and competent advocates, and I’ve been lucky to do this work for years in partnership with the Support Center for Child Advocates, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit.” For more information about volunteering, please visit the Support Center website, or contact one of the many organizations doing similar child advocacy nationwide.
