Eleventh Circuit's Carnes to Retire

Eleventh Circuit Judge Julie Carnes has advised President Trump that she will retire from the bench on June 18, 2018.

Eleventh Circuit Judge Julie Carnes has advised President Trump that she will retire from the bench on June 18, 2018. She will continue on the court as a senior judge. Judge Carnes served on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals since 2014, when she was appointed by President Obama. Before that, she had served as a district judge in the Northern District of Georgia since 1992.
