The American Bar Association Section of Litigation is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2020 Legal Services Fundraising Training Program. The Program is designed to offer intensive development training, at no cost, to staff responsible for, and Board members engaged in, fundraising at legal services organizations.
This training is available ONLY to those organizations that provide their services free of charge to clients. The program will be held in Washington, D.C., May 7-8, 2020.
The program is free to those who register in advance. A small stipend may be provided on an application basis, for select approved attendees from legal aid organizations, particularly those based outside the New York City area.
Legal aid organizations that have Development operations in place for at least one year may apply for a stipend to help defray out-of-pocket costs of attendance. Submission of a timely application is required. In order for the applicants to qualify, their sponsoring organization must issue a press release and add to their web page, or through social media, an announcement about their upcoming participation in the 2020 Legal Services Fundraising Training Program sponsored by the ABA Section of Litigation.
