The Health Law Litigation Committee strives to be the top resource for healthcare litigators to stay informed about current and emerging issues and trends in healthcare litigation. Our diverse membership includes members from the plaintiff’s bar, defense bar, government lawyers, and in-house counsel.

Our website provides information on a variety of healthcare-related litigation topics, including practical and procedural tools for litigators and discussion on cutting edge issues in the healthcare industry. The Committee’s newsletter presents thought leadership directly from our committee’s members. Our members also benefit from educational programs sponsored by the Committee and presented through the ABA by live audio teleconference, regional CLE meetings across the country, and panel discussions at ABA conferences. The committee also provides members with the opportunity to network with healthcare litigators from around the country.

Message from the Chairs

Welcome to the Health Law Litigation Committee webpage.

The Health Law Litigation Committee remains dedicated to providing quality and current programming content to its members through our newsletter, web updates, and Roundtables. This year we will be increasing our efforts to involve young lawyers, through mentoring and career-development-focused endeavors. We also will strive to showcase the diversity of our members and increase ABA and committee participation.

Whether prosecuting or defending a medical malpractice case, representing a whistleblower or defendant in a False Claims Act case, providing representation in a managed-care contract dispute or medical-device case (to name just a few of the many types of projects handled by members of our committee), healthcare litigators deal with a variety of important policy issues that impact real people’s daily lives. The committee is committed to supporting its members as they work to support their clients. Regardless of whether you want to meet others in our field, participate in events, write, teach, or simply give suggestions, we look forward to working with you.

If you would like to contribute to the Health Law Litigation Committee, we welcome your participation on our monthly calls, and we are always looking for articles, Practice Points, program panelists, and book ideas. We would love to showcase your contributions here, so please reach out to us and let us help.
