This brings together the ABA entities, programs, and projects focused on legal services for military personnel, veterans, and their families, and provides access to all these ABA resources to both the public as well as legal professionals.

Armed Forces Legal Assistance (AFLA) Legal Services Locator
An online service provided by the AFLA allowing you to search for the nearest legal assistance office.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Office of Servicemember Affairs
CFPB’s Office of Servicemember Affairs works to help military families overcome unique financial challenges by providing educational resources, monitoring complaints, and working with other agencies to solve problems faced by servicemembers.

Hire Heroes USA
A non-profit organization assisting U.S. military veterans and their spouses with their employment search.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America
National group serving the troops and veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Website includes resources on legal, medical, and benefits issues.

Joining Forces
A national initiative led by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden in support of military families.

MilitaryOneSource
A Department of Defense-funded website provided to active duty, Guard and Reserve (regardless of activation status) and their families, at no cost, as a vital extension of installation services.

National Military Families Association
A national organization fighting for benefits and programs that strengthen and protect uniformed services families and reflect the Nation’s respect for their Service.

National Veterans Legal Services Program 
NVLSP is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization acting to ensure that the U.S. government honors the pact made with our 25 million veterans.

Reserve Organization of America (ROA) Law Center
This provides resources, links and information on the laws governing the servicemember/employer relationship. This site includes law reviews on areas of law affecting members of the Reserve and National Guard. 

Self-Help Guide for Accessing VA Healthcare
Written by Veterans Legal Services and the Veterans Legal Clinic at the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School, this guide discusses how to apply for VA healthcare, how to maximize the chances of being approved, and what options are available if you run into difficulty. The guide also provides information to help veterans with less-than-honorable discharges get approved for VA healthcare.
