The Connecticut Bar Association, as part of an initiative launched in March 2010, works closely with the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center (CVLC) to bring trained volunteer attorneys around the state to help veterans with primarily benefits-related cases but also with general legal matters. In April 2011, the CBA’s Estates & Probate Section also launched an estate planning program for veterans in Connecticut so that they may understand the value and necessity of planning for the unforeseen and of creating documents such as wills and powers of attorneys.
