ABA Directory of Law School Pro Bono and Public Interest Programs: Updates Needed
Did you know that the ABA Center for Pro Bono maintains a directory with information on the pro bono and public interest programs at all ABA accredited law schools? The Directory of Law School Pro Bono and Public Interest Programs is available to both prospective and current law students, law school pro bono professionals, and other pro bono and public service community partners. The Center for Pro Bono needs your help to ensure the accuracy of information in the directory. If you have not submitted updates in the last year, this summer is the perfect time to do so. Prospective students will be beginning their law school searches in the fall, so be sure your information is up to date before then! You can view the directory here and select your school to review the information. If your school’s listing is in need of updates, contact Marissa LaVette or the Center for Pro Bono for assistance.
New ABA Ethics Line
We are excited to announce the launch of the new ABA Ethics Line, an internet, telephone, and SMS-based tool operated by an independent third party (Convercent by OneTrust) that allows employees, members, volunteers, beneficiaries of our grant programs, and contractors to confidentially and anonymously make a report or ask a question about conduct or situations that may raise ethical issues or involve the ABA’s Business Conduct Standards (“BCS”).
The ABA Ethics Line offers three (3) easy options for you to confidentially or anonymously report issues 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
1. Online: Independently report issues via the Internet at www.ethicslineaba.org. Options are available to display the report form in your preferred language.
2. By Phone
Within the United States: For those in the United States, call toll free 1-800-461-9330 to report the issue with the help of a Convercent by OneTrust call center representative.
Outside the United States: For those outside the United States, international dialing instructions by country are listed on www.ethicslineaba.org and can be displayed in your preferred language. If your country is not listed, you can place a collect call to +1-720-514-4400 to report the issue with the help of a Convercent by OneTrust call center representative and language interpreter. The call center supports more than 300+ languages.
3. By SMS Text: For those in the United States, send a text message to (872) 276-9794 to report the issue with the help of a Convercent by OneTrust representative.
