Rule 51 of the ABA Standards and Rules for Approval of Law Schools sets out the circumstances under which the Council or the Managing Director will provide public notice of and decisions regarding applications for provisional or full approval, applications for acquiescence in a substantive change, applications for a variance, and teach-out plan submissions. The Rule also describes notification requirements related to sanctions, specific remedial action, probation, withdrawal of approval, and significant noncompliance with one or more Standards under Rule 11(a)(4).
