Law School Site Visits

Site visits required by the ABA Standards for Approval of Law Schools and the Rules of Procedure for the Approval of Law Schools are organized by the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. These visits may be comprehensive periodic site visits for fully approved law schools, which take place every tenth year; visits to provisionally approved schools, which usually take place each year; visits to schools seeking for provisional approval; and any special site visits that may be ordered by the Council in accordance with the Standards and Rules of Procedure.

The chart below reports the site visit schedule for schools that are full or provisionally ABA-approved or have applied for provisional approval. For years beyond the current year, the chart lists the year of the next regular site visit for law schools that are fully approved by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the ABA.

Site visit dates are posted when confirmed.

Consistent with Internal Operating Practice 4(a), written comments related to current compliance with the Standards for Approval of Law Schools may be submitted to the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. Comments on Spring site visits are due January 15; comments on Fall site visits are due August 15.
