Primarily responsible for all questionnaires completed by ABA-approved law schools, working with the Council on the review and approval of questionnaires, and responding to questions from law schools related to the questionnaires. Also responsible for the review of site reports.
Dan Becker is a Director of Accreditation Administration for the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. Prior to joining the Section in 2022, he was Director of Programming for ABACLE. In that role, he oversaw a production team that created professional development and continuing legal education programs and products to provide ABA members, non-members, and the legal community at large with the quality education needed to establish and maintain high standards of practice, and to fulfill state bar requirements for CLE.
Before starting with CLE in 2008, Becker worked from 2003 for the ABA’s Rule of Law Initiative, Latin America and Caribbean Division, administering overseas programs of ABA/LALIC in Mexico and Ecuador. He started his career with legal associations with the DC Bar working as a writer/editor for the DC Bar’s “Washington Lawyer” magazine. He also co-wrote a monograph on judicial selection titled “Judicial Selection Reform: Examples from Six States” for the American Judicature Society (published in 2003).
Becker began his career in education as a history professor after getting a B.A. in History and Spanish from Brown University, a M.A. in History from the University of Wisconsin, and Ph.D. in History from the University of Maryland. He taught as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland and St. Mary’s College in Maryland and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Washington College in Maryland for two years.
Carl A. Brambrink

Provides management and substantive support to the Section’s key areas: committee administration; listerv management; meeting planning; financial management, budget monitoring; and membership development.
Carl Brambrink has worked at the ABA since 1983. He started with the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar in 1998. He has held a variety of finance-related roles at the ABA including Senior Accountant for the American Bar Endowment, Senior Financial Analyst for the Financial Services Division, and Manager of Finance and Committee Activities for the Section of Business Law. Within the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, Brambrink has served as the Senior Financial Services Liaison and the Director of Operations. As Director of Operations, he has oversight of the financial operations of the Section and the Council of the Section.
Brambrink holds a B.A in Business Administration and Finance from Eastern Illinois University.

Responsibilities include drafting regulatory correspondence, document production and retention, communicating with site team members, and researching accreditation standards.
JR Clark joined the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar in 2010 as a paralegal and currently serves as a Director of Accreditation Administration. In this role, he provides administrative support and oversight to the Council of the Section, specifically with respect to the Accreditation of Law Schools Project. Prior to joining the ABA, Clark served as the Special Assistant to the President and Events Coordinator at the Kalamazoo Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Clark has a B.A. in Organizational Communication and Environmetal Studies from Western Michigan University.

Stephanie A. Giggetts joined the American Bar Association as Associate General Counsel in 2006. She joined the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar in 2012 as Accreditation Counsel and was named Deputy Managing Director in 2020. She oversees the law school accreditation process and serves as a main point of contact for law schools.
Giggetts holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.

Jennifer L. Rosato Perea

Oversees all aspects of the Section. The Managing Director reports to the Council and with the ABA Executive Director regarding all accreditation matters and is responsible for assuring that the legal requirements relating to the substance and process of law school accreditation are followed. The Managing Director is a national leader in fostering quality in legal education and represents the Association before the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education.
Jennifer L. Rosato Perea is the Managing Director of Legal Education and Accreditation at the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. She is the first woman and Latina to serve in this role to oversee the accreditation of close to 200 law schools across the country.
Before serving in this role, Rosato Perea spent over 30 years as a leader in legal education, an experienced administrator, a longtime advocate of student engagement and professionalism, and a respected legal scholar. She served as dean at three different law schools over sixteen years—at DePaul University College of Law, Northern Illinois University College of Law, and Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.
Rosato Perea has been honored by various organizations for her commitment to legal education and the legal profession. Most recently, she received the Vanguard Award from the Chicago Bar Association and the Trailblazer Award from the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. She also has presented nationally and regionally on the future and challenges of legal education before a variety of organizations, including the Association of American Law Schools and the American Bar Association.
Rosato Perea received her B.S. from Cornell University and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Primarily serves the Accreditation Project of the Section including review of site reports, assisting in the recruitment of site teams; supporting site teams, assisting in the planning for various workshops and programs; assisting schools in the interpretation and application of the Standards and Rules, assisting in the interim monitoring of law schools, assisting in the review of complaints, and analyzing available data on legal education regarding performance and trends. Also supports Section committee functions as needed.
Kirsten M. Winek joined the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar in July 2017 as the Manager of Law School Analytics and Reporting and then became Accreditation Counsel in August 2020. She manages the Standards review and revision process and keeps apprised of the U.S. Department of Education’s requirements affecting accrediting agencies. Before coming to the ABA, Winek worked as a staff member and administrator at two law schools and as a Law School Account Executive for LexisNexis. She has also taught law and law-related courses to students in doctoral, master’s, juris doctor, and undergraduate degree programs, including a one-year term as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Toledo College of Law.
Winek earned her B.A. in Spanish and International Studies from Hope College, J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, and Ph.D. from the University of Toledo.

Has primary responsibility for Section activities, conferences, publications, and communications other than those related to accreditation. Works with the Council, committees, and Section members to provide programs and services of benefit to Section members and to the broader legal education community. Manages the Section website and publishing efforts.
Senior Accreditation Counsel (Vacant)
With the Deputy Managing Director and the Executive Assistant for Accreditation, is responsible for preparing agendas for the Council and accreditation-related portions of the Council meetings, working with the Council to assure the smooth functioning of the process, working with site visit team chairs on the review and completion of reports, and working with staff and committee on the preparation of decisions letters.
