Carlos is the Managing Member and Chair, Litigation and Trial Practice with Goldman Antonetti & Cordova, LLC in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He previously served on the Board of Governors between 2010 and 2013, as Puerto Rico Bar Association Delegate in the ABA House of Delegates since 2005. He is a member of the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. He chaired the ABA Standing Committee on Constitution and Bylaws and the ABA Centr for Racial and Ethnic Diversity. He has also served on several House of Delegates committees. He was also Puerto Rico State chair of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.

Carlos chairs the boards of directors of the Oficina Legal de la Comunidad (Community Law Office), a Legal Services Corporation grantee, and the Puerto Rico Center for Investigative Journalism. The Puerto Rico Supreme Court has appointed him twice to its Access to Justice Commission, which he currently vice-chairs. He is a graduate of Haverford College in Haverford, PA, where he was a Jose Padin Scholar, and served on its Board of Managers between 1998 and 2010. has published articles on the Puerto Rico Dealers’ Contracts Act, trial techniques, and access to justice. He is married to Maria Sandoval, a criminal defense attorney who retired in March 2022, and they have one grown daughter, Hortencia.
