Amy is the American Bar Association's Deputy Representative to the United Nations. She has held several leadership positions within the ABA. As a member of the ABA House of Delegates, she serves on the Scope and Correlation of Work Committee and, prior to that, served on the Credentials and Admissions Committee. She was Chair of the ABA Solo, Small Firm, and General Practice Division (2014-2015).

Amy is currently the 97th President of the Connecticut Bar Association, the first Asian Pacific American to hold that position. She was the founder and first President of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association (2000). And, she is Past President of both the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA)(2005-2006) and the NAPABA Law Foundation (2016-2018).

Among her many honors, she has received NAPABA’s Women’s Leadership Award and is a distinguished legal trailblazer in the Gallery of Pioneers at her alma mater, the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In recognition of her significant contributions, the Connecticut Governor officially proclaimed a day in her honor.

Amy has a solo practice which focuses on business, corporate, and nonprofit law.
