Seymour is a partner with Barket Epstein Kearon Aldea & LoTurco in Garden City and New York, New York. He is a former Attorney-in-Chief of The Legal Aid Society in New York City. He has served in the House of Delegates since 2011 and previously served on the Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary and the Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defense. He is a past president of the New York State Bar Association (2012-2013) and the Queens County Bar Association (2001-2002).
He is a member of New York’s Chief Judge’s Justice Task Force and her Commission to Reimagine the Future of New York’s Courts. He also serves on the Independent Commission on New York City Criminal Justice and Incarceration Reform. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of the National Legal Aid and Defender Association and the New York State Defenders Association.
