Sheena serves as City Counselor for the City of St. Louis overseeing its Civil Law Department comprised of more than 50 lawyers and 25 support staff. She is chief counsel to the City’s elected officials, boards and commission, as well as departments and agencies – including the St. Louis Development Corporation, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and Lambert–St. Louis International Airport. She previously served on the ABA Board of Governors from 2018-2021, then as a Missouri Bar delegate to the ABA House of Delegates, member of both the House’s Committee on Rules & Calendar and its Nominating Committee, and member of the Standing Committee on Membership. She was awarded the Women’s Justice Award titled Litigation Practitioner by Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2017, the Professionalism Award by the St. Louis Metropolitan Bar in 2019, the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honor in 2021, and the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 award in 2023.

She is originally from Springfield, Illinois and attended HBCU Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to St. Louis from Dallas, Texas where she was employed by American Airlines in the Office of the Corporate Secretary. It was during her American Airlines tenure that she caught the travel bug. She is a member of The Links, Incorporated where she co-chairs the International Trends & Services Facet providing global community service and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she connected with many of her travel partners.
