Ted is a partner with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in Atlanta, Georgia, where he divides his practice between litigation and client counseling in the fields of trademark, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition law. He frequently acts as an expert witness in trademark-related matters and is an adjunct professor at the Emory University School of Law.

He previously has served as Chair of the Section of Intellectual Property Law, as well as in the House of Delegates representing both the State Bar of Georgia and the Section of Intellectual Property Law. He also has served on the Budget Committee and Awards Committee of the Section Officers Conference. Outside of the ABA, he is a current member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Board of Directors, a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a former member of the Executive Committee of the International Trademark Association.

He is a native of Atlanta, where he lives with his wife, Catherine Bowman, a pediatrician. They have two sons, one of whom is a law student.
