Aurora is a Shareholder with Valentine Austriaco & Bueschel P.C., an all women owned law firm concentrating in the areas of commercial litigation, business litigation and real estate. Aurora previously served as Illinois’ State Delegate in the ABA House of Delegates, on the Rules and Calendar Committee, Credentials and Admissions Committee, the Nominating Committee and as Chair of the Tellers Committee. She is a member of the ABA Law Day Planning Committee. She previously served on the Standing Committee on Bar Activities and Services and Standing Committee on Meetings and Travels. Aurora is past president of the National Conference of Bar Presidents (2020-2021), past President of the Lawyer’s Trust Fund of Illinois (2018-2020), past President of the Chicago Bar Association (2012-2013) and past President of Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association (2005-2007).

In addition to bar association involvement, Aurora is currently serving as Commissioner for the Illinois Courts Commission and previously served as Commissioner for the Park Ridge Planning and Zoning Commission, past Commissioner for the Cook County Human Rights Commission and was an elected School Board Member for her local high school district. She serves as Chair of DePaul University (DPU) College of Law’s Diversity Council, serves on the DPU Dean’s Advisory Council and serves on the Chicago United’s Board. Aurora continues to be involved in various not for profit boards as well as corporate boards.

She is married to Jerome, a dentist and they have two daughters, one of whom is a new lawyer (Danielle) and the other with a business degree (Isabelle).
