Wednesday Welcome Reception

5:00–5:30 p.m.—Sponsors and First-Time Attendees
5:30–7:00 p.m.—All Attendees

First-time attendees and conference sponsors are invited to the Newcomer and Sponsor Reception at 5:00 p.m. to meet the members of the Standing Committee and receive a brief introduction to the conference. Be sure to indicate when you register that you are a first-time attendee.

Beginning at 5:30, the reception is open to all attendees and their guests. The reception is included with your conference registration. Unregistered guest admission can be purchased at the Registration Desk: $85.

Night Out at the Ball Game ($25)

Wednesday, September 11—Game starts at 7:10 p.m.

Quantities Limited – Only two tickets per person, first come, first served

Make plans to enjoy a ballgame under beautiful September skies at one of Major League Baseball's most beautiful ballparks. Within walking distance of the Hilton Bayfront, conference attendees will have prime seats at Petco Park to watch the San Diego Padres take on the Chicago Cubs. The ABA has reserved exclusive seats in the Estrella Jalisco Landing, a special section in left field that provides the perfect combination of prime baseball viewing and a lively atmosphere. Guests will be treated to a buffet of ballpark fare and beverages, including beer. While baseballs are not included, they are known to make periodic visits to a lucky few. After the opening night reception, cross the pedestrian bridge to join us for a special evening at the ballgame!

The Standing Committee organizes several events exclusively for the young lawyers and insurance professionals 36 years of age or younger. In order to receive detailed information regarding the events listed, please register for the conference. Active members of the ABA's Young Lawyers Division are eligible to receive a discounted registration fee.

Thursday Evening Reception at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens – Liberty Station ($90)

Stone Brewing is a huge, hip gastropub with an artisanal, natural approach to food. It celebrates the venue’s prior history as a U.S. Navy mess hall, while introducing new industrial and organic features. Join us and enjoy food and drinks as you network and enjoy the outdoor gardens and games. Be sure to sign up onsite for the beer tasting flight of four of Stone Brewing’s year-round releases. This hosted tasting comes complete with Stone Liberty Station's Beer Specialist, includes Q&A session and the history of Stone Brewing.

Early Morning Sessions

Yoga for Every Body

Thursday & Friday—7:00–8:00 a.m.

Feeling tired or jetlagged?  Refresh and recharge your batteries during the conference – certified yoga instructor and industry veteran Phil Book leads a one-hour practice each morning focusing on improving your overall health and wellness.  Sessions are geared to appeal to participants of all levels, including those who have never practiced yoga.   This is a brilliant break from networking, panel updates, and client meetings.  The physical practice of yoga will bring you greater mental clarity, a natural detox, and will leave you feeling rejuvenated and energized.  Take this experience back home with you to start a new phase of self-care and improvement to your overall health.
