LRIS’s that can show substantial compliance with the ABA’s LRIS Model Rules to the satisfaction of the ABA may apply for authorization to use the ABA’s LRIS Logo and Tagline.
What you’ll get:
- New this year! -- Program participants will get exclusive access to webinars produced by the Standing Committee on Lawyer Referral and Information Service. We’ll be covering a variety of LRIS topics, featuring experts in the industry. Our first exclusive webinar is coming later this year!
- Authorization to use the ABA’s “Meets ABA Standards for Lawyer Referral” logo and the ABA’s trademarked tagline “THE RIGHT CALL FOR THE RIGHT LAWYER®” on your LRIS’s website and in print publications in order to showcase your LRIS’s compliance with the LRIS Model Rules, subject to program guidelines.
- Authorization lasts for two years and automatically expires at the end of the two-year term, unless renewed. The upcoming authorization/renewal period extends from May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2027.
How it works:
- Review the ABA’s Model Rules Governing Lawyer Referral and Information Services, available here.
- If you are new to the program, complete the application here. If you are renewing your authorization, complete the application here . The cost to apply or renew is $250.00.
- ABA staff will review and approve your application if it finds that your LRIS is in substantial compliance with the LRIS Model Rules.
