After considering the continuing concerns and future uncertainties regarding COVID-19, including social distancing guidelines that may affect program seating, the ability to host our annual dinner, company-imposed travel restrictions and the possible rebound of the virus in the fall, the ABA and the Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs (CoLAP) determined that it is commercially unreasonable to proceed with the ABA CoLAP National Conference on Lawyer Assistance Programs this year. Therefore, the ABA and the Commission made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 National Conference on Lawyer Assistance Programs scheduled for October 27-28, 2020 in Springfield, MA. We deeply regret that attendees will miss the opportunity this year to spend time with each other as well to hear from our expert speakers on important and relevant topics. Please stay tuned as we explore options to possibly host a restructured virtual program in the fall.
We look forward to seeing all of you at our 2021 National Conference which will take place in Washington D.C. Please visit our website for additional information as we begin planning this event.
Thank you for understanding. We hope you, your families, and colleagues stay safe and well.
