The team of Brian Kennedy and Briana Al Taqatqa from Mitchell Hamline School of Law was named National Champion at the 2016-2017 ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition on Saturday in Chicago.

Al Taqatqa fell ill during one of the preliminary rounds on Friday, leaving Kennedy to continue on his own for the final rounds.

This year’s topic was business law. Here are the final standings in the competition:
