The winner of the 2016-2017 American Bar Association Law Student Division National Appellate Advocacy Competition (NAAC) is the St. Mary’s University School of Law team of Billy Calve, Devin deBruyn, and Sophia George. This is the second year in a row that St. Mary’s has won NAAC.

Ryan Wilson of the University of Oklahoma College of Law was named best advocate for the competition. His partner, Alex Richard, finished second for best advocate.

The Wayne State University Law School team of Amy Huang, Christopher Rambus, and Jonathan Demers took first place for best brief.
