Last weekend, the finals of the ABA Law Student Division’s Client Counseling Competition took place at Baylor Law School in Waco, Tex. This year’s topic was criminal law and procedure.

Here are the results:

The Albany Law team will now vie for the global title at the Louis M. Brown/Forrest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition, to be held April 27-30 at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. They can expect to face about 20 teams from countries including Australia, Cambodia, England and Wales, Germany, India, Russia, Switzerland, and Turkey.
Morgan, an alumna of the University at Albany, is a member of the Albany Law Review and has interned in the Counsel’s Office of the New York State Executive Chamber, the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and the Albany office of U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer. She is currently a law clerk at the firm Malkin & Ross.
A native of Tennessee, Potts became the first member of his family to earn a higher-ed degree when he graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a B.A. in English Language and Literature/Letters. Potts, who will obtain his J.D. this May, has interned at the New York State Defenders Association and the United States Sentencing Commission, and has clerked at the Ulster Country District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice.
