In 2021, ABA TECHSHOW took a sharp turn—one that was unexpected, but ultimately necessary. For the first time in its history, the conference transitioned to a virtual platform, thanks to the challenges posed by the pandemic. This was about as ultimate a challenge as possible, especially for an event that had long been defined by in-person connections, our vibrant EXPO Hall, and the coveted live programming. Yet, in less than a year, the team managed to reimagine TECHSHOW, seamlessly (as possible under the conditions) delivering the content, networking opportunities and product showcases and meeting with our partners online. How did we pull that off? Simple—years of experience and an unwavering commitment from our incredible volunteer members. We knew what was needed, and we adapted quickly, as best we could. The result? A successful virtual show, driven by innovation and flexibility.
But let’s take a step back and really reflect. ABA TECHSHOW isn’t just about overcoming hurdles. It’s about pushing boundaries, introducing big ideas and transforming the way legal professionals interact with technology. Innovation can come from many places—market demand, the need for better efficiency, compliance requirements or even the competitive drive to stay ahead. And when it comes to ABA TECHSHOW, all these motivations are on display. From artificial intelligence (AI) breakthroughs to the tools that streamline daily operations, the show highlights the latest solutions driving the legal tech industry forward.
If you look at how far we’ve come, it’s nothing short of remarkable. Just a few years ago, many of us hadn’t even heard of Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Now, those platforms are part of the daily rhythm of our professional lives. That’s the power of technology—it adapts and grows at a pace, sometimes, that is just truly breathtaking. And as we look ahead to ABA TECHSHOW 2026, we are again excited about bringing together the brightest minds in legal technology and still evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of legal professionals.
This year, we’ll continue to explore the most cutting-edge topics, with AI remaining a sought-after subject matter. In fact, the advancements in AI have moved so quickly that the content presented this year will be far beyond last year’s discussions. Keep a close eye on how that affects legal automation and smart contracts. Expect new applications, more sophisticated innovations and real-world insights that will empower you to leverage AI in your practice and daily lives, professional and personal. From automation to the core tools that law firms have come to rely on, TECHSHOW will continue its tradition of covering the full spectrum of legal technology.
