Dear Friends and Colleagues:
With the summer winding down to its last few days, it’s time to look ahead at upcoming events:
- On September 24, our Committee, working with the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA), is putting on its Sixth Transatlantic Conference in London. This conference has served as one of the most informative and engaging experiences for the Committee. While we do not “drive” the program or control the contents of the programming, we are invited in a limited way to participate as planners, speakers, moderators and, of course, as an audience. If you can attend this year’s conference, you’ll find it a rewarding experience.
- On November 7, our Committee will present several sessions at the ABA 13th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference in New Orleans. That evening, we will host our annual dinner. Please try to attend if you can – and if your firm can help sponsor the dinner, please reach out to Brad Hoffman as soon as possible. Tickets for the dinner are available at www.ambar.org/laborconference.
- From May 3-7, our Committee will hold our annual Midyear Meeting in Berlin. We are just beginning to formulate the program. In addition to getting these dates on your calendar, please share with us any thoughts you might have for topics in Berlin.
Warm regards,
Katherine Blostein (Employee Co-chair), David Garland (Employer Co-Chair), Clare Murray (International Co-Chair) and Jennifer “JJ” Rosenbaum (Union & Employee Co-chair).
