    As the summer heat approaches, we are finalizing the hot topics and panelists that we will present at the Annual Section of Labor and Employment Law Conference in New Orleans from November 6-9, 2019. This conference is the largest meeting of the Section each year and provides wonderful opportunities not only to connect with members of the International Labor and Employment Law Committee but also to attend terrific panels of the other Section committees.

    COSTA RICA - Labor Procedure Reform

    The Labor Procedure Reform is the most important amendment made to the Costa Rican Labor Code since its enactment in 1943. Its purpose is to establish the orality of court proceedings in labor matters; however, it includes significant changes to some specific issues, both procedural and substantive, in terms of rights and obligations of the parties within the framework of labor relations.
