If you answered "Palm Springs" to all three, you are right! Its beautiful sister city, Rancho Mirage, just 9 miles away from Palm Springs International Airport, is the location for our 2020 EBC Midwinter meeting. Join us February 5-8 for 2.5 days of fantastic presentations and discussions on our favorite topic: ERISA! Registration is now open, at: https://www.americanbar.org/events-cle/mtg/inperson/385055633
We are so excited to stay at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas, a resort with a waterslide, lazy river, 27 holes of golf, 23 tennis courts, and a 20,000 square foot spa, and we hope you will not only bring your colleagues, but your families as well! The fabulous Brad Hoffman at the ABA is working on a midcentury modern homes tour for Wednesday afternoon before our first reception! You can register for the hotel at the special rate with this link: https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/palm-springs-rancho-las-palmas/meetings/aba2020-employee-benefit-02042020
The Programming Committee, with Denise Clark and Russel Hirschhorn at its helm, has nearly finalized the agenda and speakers, and it is sure to delight. From programs on the Supreme Court's obsession with ERISA, to "Challenges to Retirement Security in the 21st Century," to mortality assumptions, to a Welfare Plan Compliance Workshop, there will be plenty of topics to interest everyone.
The Diversity and Inclusion committee, co-chaired by Ada Dolph, Marcelle Henry, Clarissa Kang, Syretta Martin, and Martina Sherman, are working on a stellar speaker, so don't forget to sign up for the Inclusion Luncheon too!
All are welcome, and we welcome all at the 2020 Employee Benefits Committee's Midwinter meeting. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Your EBC Co-Chairs

Benjamin Eisner (Union)
Aliya Robinson (Management)
