We are pleased to announce that the Employee Benefits Student Writing Competition, sponsored by the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, Inc. (ACEBC®), will accept papers dealing with a substantive topic of employee benefits law between now and June 1, 2024. Awards of $1,800 are available for two winning papers, and ACEBC® will pay travel and lodging expenses for winning students and a guest to attend the ACEBC® annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on September 14, 2024, at the National Portrait Gallery. The Official Rules for the ACEBC® Student Writing Competition Rules are found on the ACEBC® website at this link: ACEBC Employee Benefits Writing Competition for Law Students | ACEBC. ERISA, Employee Benefits Law and Labor and Employment Law professors are encouraged to post a copy of the Student Writing Competition Rules on a student bulletin board and to ask the school’s career office to post the Student Writing Competition Rules on its website. Please forward this information to any full-time or adjunct professors who are in a position to identify students who might be interested in entering a paper in the competition. Specific questions may be directed to Frances King Quick at [email protected]. The ACEBC® is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to elevating the standards and advancing the public’s understanding of the practice of employee benefits law.
