Saranicole Duaban, is a litigation Associate at Shulman Kessler LLP in Melville, New York. Saranicole has been practicing labor and employment law for 3 years and joined the Section in 2015. At Shulman Kessler she represents employees in mostly class and collective actions. Prior to working at Shulman Kessler, Saranicole represented employees in both state and federal court in discrimination and wage and hour cases. Ms. Duaban has been committed to workers’ rights throughout law school and her career. In law school, she represented low-wage works in wage and hour cases and unemployment hearings in the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic. After graduating from law school, she was a fellow in MFY Legal Services's Workplace Justice Project. Ms. Duaban then managed the employment law practice at a small firm in Brooklyn, N.Y. where she handled a heavy caseload of both wage and hour and discrimination cases. This self-described “energetic” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
