Stuart M. Katz, is a principal of Cohen and Wolf in Bridgeport, Connecticut and is the Chair of the firm’s Litigation Group. Stuart has been practicing labor and employment law for 25 years and joined the Section in 1992. He finds his membership to be beneficial to his professional development as it provides more exposure to the emerging trends in labor and employment law. As a Section member, what Mr. Katz enjoys most is the annual Section onference which he deems to be a great time both professionally and personally. Stuart represents employers of all sizes in defending discrimination and harassment suits and litigating restrictive covenant, breach of contract, business tort and wage claims. He also represents executives and professionals in matters relating to their employment including contract negotiation and litigation. Mr. Katz routinely provides guidance to employers and employees regarding personnel policies, handbooks and employee discipline. Often asked to emcee various events and to “roast” retiring partners, Stuart is a great member to get to know.
