Alison Hopkins, is a 3L part-time law student at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. and has been a Section member since March of 2016. Alison joined the ABA after attending a Section-Sponsored panel discussion on careers in labor and employment law. She was inspired by how the attorneys on the panels had enhanced their education by joining the ABA as law students, which enabled them to meet practitioners and attend ABA events that focused on their area of interest. She believes the ABA makes it easy to stay active by hosting regular webinars on topics that are important to her while also providing study aids that are accessible online. In addition to being a part-time law student, Ms. Hopkins is currently working as a Law Clerk at Duane Morris LLP in Washington, D.C. This self-described “curious” future lawyer is a great member to get to know.
