Alan Symonette, has been a full time labor and employment arbitrator since 1988 with Symonette ADR Services, Inc. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has been a Section member since 2006 as he joined after attending his first CLE Conference in Philadelphia. Mr. Symonette believes that these conferences have given him the opportunity to learn from and network with a large and diverse number of labor and employment professionals. A member of the National Academy of Arbitrators since 1996, he currently serves on the labor panels of the American Arbitration Association, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, National Mediation Board, and the Pennsylvania Bureau of Mediation. He has conducted numerous grievance and interest arbitrations in both public and private sectors. Mr. Symonette also serves as the permanent arbitrator on a number of permanent labor management panels in a variety of industries including airlines, health care, utilities, manufacturing, sports and entertainment, public transportation and education. In his spare time, Alan has been actively involved in a number of housing rehabilitation projects in California, Kentucky, Tennessee and Louisiana.
