Gregory McGillivary, is a Partner at Woodley & McGillivary LLP in Washington, D.C. Gregory has been practicing labor law for 33 years and has been a Section member since 1992. He has remained a Section member for multiple reasons as he finds the ABA programs to be top notch while representing the views of different parties. The staff involved is extremely knowledgeable and kind, and also having the opportunity to network with his fellow accomplished peers has made his membership enjoyable. Greg represents unions and is frequently retained by them specifically to remedy alleged wage, pay and benefits theft by employers by pursuing actions on behalf of employees in class and collective actions in federal and state court. Mr. McGillivary has successfully represented thousands of workers in cases to recover unpaid wages, employer failures to properly follow minimum wage and overtime laws, employer violations of hazardous duty pay requirements and to recover other forms of pay and benefits that workers have unjustly been deprived of to the unfair benefit of their employers. This self-described “persistent” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
