Anna Miller, is a Senior Associate at Atkinson Andelson Loya Ruud & Romo in Sacramento, California. She has been practicing labor law for 10 years and joined the Section in 2014 to increase her opportunities of learning about labor and employment law issues while having the chance to work on legal publications and treatises. Ms. Miller has co-authored several American Bar Association publications, including: ABA Midwinter Meeting Report on 2013 Cases – FMLA; ABA 2014 FLSA Midwinter Meeting Report; 2015 Supplement to the ABA/BNA FMLA Treatise; 2016 version of the CPER Pocket Guide to the Educational Employment Relations Act. Anna is an education attorney whom focuses primarily on public sector labor and employment issues. This means 99 percent of the clients she works with are public school districts and community colleges. She also assists these employers with disciplinary issues, layoffs and often conduct workplace investigations into claims of discrimination and retaliation.
