Matthew Austin, is a lawyer at Roetzel & Andress in Columbus, Ohio. He has been practicing law for 15 years and became a Section member in 2002. Matthew joined the Section because of the substantive materials, programming and tremendous networking opportunities provided by the section itself. As a member of the Section, he most enjoys having the ability to generate a national network of peers and similar practitioners across the country. Matthew’s decision to become a lawyer stems from his family as a vast majority of them have careers in law as well. Mr. Austin focuses his practice on labor and employment law, including representing companies in all aspects of dealing with labor unions. He also chronicles many of the day-to-day experiences of dealing with unions and laws covering labor management relations in his blog, Matt Austin Labor Law. This self-described “tenacious” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
