James Allmendinger, a Union and Employee lawyer with Allmendinger Law Office in Durham, NH has been practicing labor and employment law for 39 years and became a Section member in 1990. Mr. Allmendinger opened his own law office in September 2014. Previously, he was a staff attorney at the National Education Association of New Hampshire for thirty years, representing public school employees in all aspects of labor and employment as well as education law and litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies. A past chair of the NH Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, Mr. Allmendinger is also past co-chair of the ABA’s Labor and Employment Law Section’s Committee on Public Sector Bargaining, its Annual Conference Planning Committee, and its Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility. He has also taught education and employment law as an adjunct professor of law at the University of New Hampshire School of Law and is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
