Kyle E. Simmons, is a 4L law student at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. who has been involved in the labor and employment law field for approximately 15 years and became a Section member in 2013 upon entering law school. Mr. Simmons will serve as the new ABA Law Student Division Liaison for the upcoming academic year. He joined the Section due to his interest in learning and mastering his craft in labor relations, especially in his current capacity as a Special Assistant and Labor Relations Specialist for the Government of the District of Columbia’s Office of Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining. Kyle’s desire is to continue to work in labor & employment as he recognizes that this field would provide an opportunity to work potentially with a firm and/or sports team, or players association. In his spare time, Mr. Simmons enjoys boxing and staying abreast of developing law trends in sports & entertainment as well as labor & employment. This self-described “undaunted” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
