Dane Steffenson, a lawyer with the U.S. Department of Labor and Office of the Solicitor in Atlanta, GA has been practicing labor and employment law for 14 years and became a Section member in 2004. Mr. Steffenson joined to meet and learn from all his colleagues in various labor and employment law areas in which he practices. He has remained an active member because he feels the Section provides pre-eminent learning and networking opportunities from publications to webinars. Also the in-person meetings and programs through which he has become a better lawyer by expanding and deepening his knowledge and network of colleagues and friends have been a tremendous professional asset. Dane is most active in the Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee. Mr. Steffenson graduated Georgia State University, College of Law, magna cum laude in 1998 followed by a two-year stint at the Eleventh Circuit and two years handling complex civil litigation including defense of antitrust, trademark infringement, various commercial transactions, and providing advice to Compaq Computers on employment matters.
