John Ho, an Employer/Management lawyer with Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC in New York City has been practicing labor and employment law since 1997. John became a Section member immediately upon beginning his legal career with the United States Department of Labor in 1998. Mr. Ho decided to join as he enjoys many of the publications that the Section puts out asproduces and finds that they are a great way to stay on top of significant level developments and trends. In addition, he wanted to contribute as an author to the FLSA book and meet other young lawyers. John's practice includes assisting employers with everything from Fortune 500 companies to non-profit health care agencies with internal wage and hour audits and Department of Labor compliance audits including independent contractor issues with New York unemployment filings. He has defended numerous types of employers including a number of national retail stores in the apparel industry, restaurants, non-profits, and public sector employers against dual filed collective actions under the FLSA and the New York Labor Law. John is also a member of the Wage and Hour Defense Institute covering the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. This self-described “loyal” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
