Andrew Gruna, a 3L law student at Pace University in White Plains, New York. Andrew will be graduating next spring to pursue a career within the practice of labor and employment law. He joined the Section after attending an ABA Labor and Employment Law panel led by Jessie Cardinale. At the time, Mr. Gruna was undecided in regards to which direction to take his career, but after hearing practitioners elaborate on the positive impacts this area of law produces he became very much intrigued.
Earlier this year, Mr. Gruna served as a Criminal Enforcement Legal Intern for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. During this time he drafted memorandums evaluating criminal violations of the Clean Water Act and more. He also assisted with evaluating violations and determining the level of criminal penalties for sentencing violators. Andrew will serve as an intern for the National Labor Relations Board this summer in New York. This self-described “resilient” student is a great member to get to know.
