Aaron Kaufmann, an employee/plaintiff attorney with Leonard Carder in Oakland, California has been practicing labor and employment law for 25 years and became a Section member shortly after graduating law school. He decided to join the Section as he intended to focus his career on representing workers in employment matters. Aaron has remained an active member as he’s been deeply involved with the ABA’s FLSA Treatise for many years, most recently as one of the Co-Editors in-Chief, and just finished a 3 year term as Employee Co-Chair of the Federal Labor Standards Legislation committee. Mr. Kaufmann most enjoys participating in the publications and interacting with leading employer and employee side attorneys from around the country. Mr. Kaufmann represents workers in individual and class action employment litigation, with a particular emphasis on wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation and whistle-blower law. Over the past decade, he has served as class counsel in dozens of wage and hour class and collective actions. This self-described “analytical” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
