David T. Lopez, an Employee/Plaintiff lawyer with David T. Lopez & Assoc., Attorneys in Houston, Texas has been practicing labor and employment law since 1968 and has been a Section member for 47 years. David became a Section member after taking part in an evening law school class as a 2L while employed full time as a field representative of the AFL-CIO. Since graduating first in his law school class in 1971, David T. Lopez has been a lawyer in private practice in Houston. He has represented individuals and commercial establishments in state and federal courts in a broad range of matters, and for several years he also has been dedicated to dispute resolution outside the courts, internationally and domestically, both as an advocate and an arbitrator and mediator. As an active member, he has remained closely involved with the International Labor and Employment Law committee, which has allowed David to get more involved in the broader legal community on issues relevant to his practice and business.
