Maurice Wexler, an Employer/Management lawyer with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC in Memphis, Tennessee, has been practicing labor and employment law for 50 years and has been a Section member since 1966. His practice focuses on representing employers in all areas of labor and employment law. When he first joined the Section, Title VII was new and he was new to the practice and needed to learn about it. He’s stayed involved because he’s been able to learn from and network with other practitioners over the years. Mr. Wexler decided to enter the practice of law to avoid the glass ceiling in the corporate world and found labor and employment law to be fascinating and showy while offering a good shot at a consistent paycheck. Over the years he has been most active on the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. This self-described “educable” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
