David L. Johnson, an Employer/Management lawyer with Butler Snow LLP in Nashville, Tennessee has been practicing labor and employment law for 18 years and has been a Section member since 2002. David was very active with the ABA Young Lawyers Division and applied for a Young Lawyers Fellowship with the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Committee and was accepted. He’s been active on ERR ever since. He’s found that membership provides a great opportunity to intermingle: (a) great CLE and other career development opportunities; (b) networking; and (c) service to the bar and community. He has made life-long friends through the Section, and found it fun to reunite with old friends at Section events. At Butler Snow, his practice niche is unfair competition, including non-compete and trade secrets work. David originally became an attorney because he enjoys advocating and the chess match aspect of the profession. This self-described “badass” lawyer is a great member to get to know.
