Alvin Velazquez, a Union lawyer at the Service Employees International Union in Washington, D.C., has been practicing Labor & Employment Law for 7 years. His practice focuses on advising his client on issues in developing technologies and social media and its intersection with labor law. He also advises on business law matters for the labor union and federal labor law as it applies to Puerto Rico. Alvin joined the Section in 2008 so he could keep up to date on the latest and greatest developments in labor law, and to meet professionals from different sectors of the economy as well as those whose practice differs from his own.
