Committee Involvement

The Section of Labor and Employment Law gives you the opportunity to participate in any of its standing committees. Committee participation allows members to pursue their specific areas of interest and puts them on the cutting edge of new labor law issues.

Continuing Legal Education

The Section is the leading provider of continuing legal education in the labor and employment law arena. Section members receive substantial discounts on registration fees for most of our programs, whether via the Web or in face-to-face programs.

Committee Midwinter Meetings

Most of the Section’s Standing Committees conduct annual Midwinter Meetings. Next to our Annual Conference, the Midwinter Meetings are the Section of Labor and Employment Law’s most concentrated source of substantive content.

Publications

The Section of Labor and Employment Law provides you with publications to keep you up-to-date on changes and trends in labor and employment law. As part of your membership you receive the Section's law review, ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law, published three times annually, as well as the quarterly Labor and Employment Law Newsletter.

Networking & Government Contact

In addition to quality information, your membership provides you with invaluable opportunities to work with the top labor and employment law attorneys both in the U.S. and abroad. The Section of Labor and Employment Law is the only labor and employment forum that regularly includes government officials, such as the members of the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other agencies in its programs and activities.
