Midwinter Meetings and the COVID-19 Coronavirus Situation

Dear Colleague:

The ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law has made the decision to cancel the remainder of the 2020 Midwinter Meetings.

We appreciate your patience as LEL Section Executive Committee and the Standing Committee Co-Chairs have been carefully monitoring this dynamic situation. We will miss seeing all of you and deeply regret losing the opportunities for members and other attendees to connect and to share their collective experiences. Our paramount concern, however, is for the health and safety of our members and their communities as well as the Section’s diversity and inclusion values with respect to providing an inclusive environment to all, including our older and disabled members and attendees.

On behalf of the LEL Section Council, we appreciate the significant contributions made and preparations undertaken by the Committee Co-Chairs, Program Co-Chairs and Midwinter Meeting panelists. We anticipate offering many of the planned programs through CLE webinars over the next few months, so please watch your email for details on alternative programming. Please also look out for the Section newsletters.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you at the 14th Annual Labor & Employment Law Conference at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on November 11-14, 2020. In the meantime, take good care of yourself, your family and your local community.

If you have any questions, please contact Brad Hoffman, Section Director, at [email protected].

Best regards,

Christopher T. Hexter
