From the ABA-sponsored jazz band that welcomed you off the plane at the Louis Armstrong International Airport to the shower of festive beads during the Bar President’s parade down Canal Street, the Midyear Meeting exemplified the best of New Orleans.
The National Conference of State Trial Judges met for their Business Meeting headed by Honorable Vivian Medinilla of Delaware on the first day of the meeting, before heading into another wildly successful and always inspiring session with the Judicial Clerkship Program co-run by former NCSTJ Chair and Judicial Division Vice-Chair, Honorable Heather Welch of Indiana. Day two, judges from all over gathered for the CLE, “Dare to be Different: Think Outside the Box to Improve Juvenile Justice in Your Community” including panelist, NCSTJ Past Chair Hon. Stephanie Domitrovich of Pennsylvania. The day finished with 24 judges and spouses lapping up New Orleans’ favorite dishes at the Palace Café. Here are a few photos from our time in the Big Easy. Hope you can join us in August for the 2023 ABA Annual Meeting in Denver!
