Judges Can Guard Against Wrongful Convictions Based On Faulty Science

Featuring Katherine Judson, Executive Director of the Center for Integrity in Forensic Sciences

Hosted by Hon. Richard Ginkowski, Pleasant Prairie, WI

At least a quarter - and in some jurisdictions, nearly twice that - of overturned wrongful convictions resulted from faulty scientific evidence. Gavel Talks host Richard Ginkowski talks with Katherine Judson, executive director of the Center for Integrity in Forensic Sciences, about how judges can be vigilant to ensure that proferred scientific evidence is properly admitted and discusses the upcoming virtual Forensic Justice Institute to be presented January 19-20, 2023 in partnership with the State Bar of Wisconsin.
