During the 2022 National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the Judicial Division's Standing Committee on Diversity in the Judiciary explored the challenges faced by disabled youth in school, and in obtaining benefits intended to assist them in achieving success. We will discuss tools that can be used to address the needs of youth engaged in the court system due to mental health challenges. We will explore ways attorneys can specifically contribute to the effort to ensure children with disabilities are included in society in meaningful and rewarding ways.
